Jon received his BA from Kentucky Christian College in 1988 and his MRE from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1998. For more than 23 years Jon has served in ministries in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Jon has the gift of being able to communicate God's Word in a down to earth manor, that is easy to relate to your life in today's world. With a passion for people, Jon's vision for New Hope is to create a community of believers who demonstrate the love of God in practical ways to the Un-Churched people in this Greene County community, and bring them into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Having led several mission trip to New York City, Jon has a deep passion for evangelism and seeing people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Kim leads us in upbeat contemporary worship. She is a graduate of Kentucky Christian College with a BS in Bible and Elementary Education. Kim has played the piano since the age of five and sang in the Southern Gospel touring group "The Singspirations" with her family for several years. While in college, she served as the accompanist for Concert Choir, Freshman Chorale, and has played with numerous other performing groups including "Saints Alive", "Reconciled" and "Promise". She has taught and played the piano for over 20 years. Prior to becoming Director of Worship at New Hope, .Kim held the same position at the First Church of Christ in Xenia for 3 years. Her love for people is why she has dedicated her life to Christian service. She and Jon have served in many positions over the years working with youth, adults, choirs, and worship teams. Kim says "Our goal is that New Hope Christian Church will be different from any corporate church setting that people have experienced before. We pray that people will feel accepted, feel loved, and will know that there is "hope" in a world that can be so cruel and painful." |
